Okurky

We are very partial to okurky (cucumbers, dill pickles) in our house, particularly Misha and Gregor. Long before the new Polish shop opened up on our street we'd already compared all that the supermarkets had to offer: Morrison's - good, reasonable price; Tesco - okay; Asda - marinated in pure vinegar, awful; Somerfield - excellent, very cheap. On a recent trip to Ipswich we found a new Lithuanian, ie Russian / Polish supermarket in the centre of the new Waterfront regeneration project. It has everything and Misha was like a child in a sweetshop, but more on that another time. Back to our humble okurky.

This is me showing the boys how our seedlings germinated. Alastair, who up to now has shown no interest in our tomatoes, was a little more curious. Perhaps, it's the genes.

Still, it was left to Gregor to get on with the repotting.

Job done. Back to the building site.
