Courgettes, zucchini, cukety

I thought I'd harness the interest Alastair had shown in the okurky and see if he'd get involved in our growing effort. Misha has reservations about blogging every single thing we are growing - thinks it may get a bit tedious! So while you weren't watching we started on some basil, chives and aubergines. And in future our blog title will be a generic one - for fruit, veggies and herbs?!

Here we are - courgettes.

As I had hoped, Alastair really enjoyed joining in and did a good job of filling the propagator pots with compost.

I had to be a bit more vigilant to stop him putting the seeds in his mouth. Gregor's still waiting for Alastair to turn into a courgette.

There, all the seeds planted.

Yes Ms Watson - HR does look enticing - and yes food is very good - produce and ingredients of course are great and they grow about everything - also for seafood of course - talked to a project beneficiary today who said the food in BXL was awful in comparison to HR??? I explained to her that BXL is often talked of in the same breath as Paris for food with the advantage that it's cheaper...who knows. btw we won't be free on 21 and 22 May (the last 2 days of your visit - I suppose 22 is out for you too since you'll be flying) since we have relies coming - ex diplomatic couple - should be interesting. lol h
