Touristy stuff

The grandparents in Kiev wouldn't forgive us if we didn't take the boys over Charles Bridge and around the castle while in Prague, no matter their age. So we breakfasted in Malostranská for some needed sustenance before setting off.

Gregor was happy to listen to my rudimentary explanations of how on earth they built everything with no diggers and dump trucks in those days. The legend that the mortar in Charles Bridge was strengthened with eggs helped the story along.

The royal gardens alongside Prague castle and within the old moat are such a lovely walk and we made our way through most of it.

While Alastair discovered a new fascination with drains, Gregor enjoyed the game, 'see how many times you can run to the statue and back'!
