Spring has sprung

Every so often there's a change in Alastair's development and we all have to adapt accordingly. Most recently, he's begun to say 'no', 'why?' and 'how?'. Not quite sure why, but this has coincided with Gregor telling him to do things that are quite obviously not allowed. Alastair doesn't seem to use his 'why?' then. Yesterday, I came down to breakfast cereal squashed on the floor. Although I thought it was quite amusing, I made Gregor get the hoover and get it all up. I was a little disturbed that he was enjoying the punishment just as much as the crime.

Here, Alastair thought it funny to spread toothpaste over his hair. Or perhaps it was Gregor?! Anyway, they were quickly threatened with a cold shower and it hasn't happened again. A bonnet parade at school before they broke up for the holidays.

Gregor's the guy in the centre, half the size of anybody else! Then a little parcel arrived in the post for Alastair.

To ease the transition to a full day at school each Tuesday he asked for, and I understood, and he got and was overjoyed to have a Shaun the Sheep lunch bag. It worked.

Relaxing in front of Bob the Builder, no doubt.

In the holidays we also saw Charlie, who's the same age as the boys and the son of an old Ipswich friend of mine, Sally. They live in Eyke, a lovely village on the edge of Rendlesham forest, 45 minutes away, and the scene for many UFO sitings in the region.
