Easton Farm Park - after lunch

The great thing about EFP is that there's plenty to do other than pet/look at the animals. In my limited experience, variety is a thing to look out for when taking the kids out for the day.

Though on saying that, Gregor, once he discovered the "real" diggers, wanted to do nothing else for the rest of the day. After all our pound coins were spent, he resorted to hanging around the other kids trying to hitch a ride. I pretended he was with Sarah.

Who was oblivious to my situation, preferring to have fun on the see-saw with Sam instead!

We managed to lure Gregor away from the diggers with the offer of an ice-cream. That worked.

Then time for Alastair and Billy. After 14.00 this thing just goes round and round. There's a bit of a free-for-all to bags your seat amongst all the mothers trying to get little Johnny on and kids deciding they're not getting off and friends wanting to sit together and so on....

...the queue for the pony rides was far more civilised. Alastair's first time on a little Shetland and, cos his legs are so small (but strong), managed to sit like a real jockey.
