And Now We Are Six!!
January was met with great excitement because it was the boys' 6th birthday. And didn't that party drag on!! Actually they had two parties - one for the relatives, one for the schoolfriends, various visitors and Alastair's homecoming day. Below is a pic of us in Ipswich outside the brand new dance space. We met up with Saffron to watch her 80 year-old mother perform in a superb dance show that premiered there.

The waterfront area has undergone enormous regeneration, and hosts a variety of bars and restaurants, as well as Suffolk's first and only university.

Party number 1 with the relatives. Here is a good one of 3 of my sisters, all of whom live in Ipswich. The other two live further afield. From left to right: Pauline, Sue and Gill.

As most people know, we moved to the sea to fix Alastair's lungs, as well as satisfy my yearning for the (cold, North) sea. Well, I'll know when I'm ready to move on, but for now we get outside as much as we can. This is a favourite hill of ours that we roll down when we're in the mood.

Party number 2 - at the local gymnastics centre. It's a good deal: an hour in the gym and 45 minutes of quite decent buffet food for a fixed price. The children are so utterly worn out afterwards, all parents are truly truly grateful! This was Gregor blowing out his oil rig cake just as the derrick really caught fire! Ha!

A couple of shots of them hard at play. Alastair has got very strong and loves swinging. He can hold his body weigh like this for about 25 seconds. We agreed with the school that he goes during school hours, at our time and expense, to the gym for 2 separate hourly sessions. It works really well, and for one of them, his teacher joins us. As a result of this intense physical work, his balance, strength, confidence have all progressed well.

Here's Gregor with his favourite girls!

A cute little pic of the school mates.

And Gregor, as you will notice, has recently become the proud fan and owner of his very own Chelsea kit!

I didn't even try to persuade him otherwise. Ho hum.....
